Skogtek is a combination of the skandinavian word skog meaning forest and tek for technology. Besides sounding cool, the name reflects our experience and expertise in environmental science and technology.
Skogtek has developed quality web and desktop software for several satisfied clients since 2006. Our aim is to provide simple, elegant, reliable and maintainable products.
Skogtek is owned and operated by Carl Bolstad and supplemented by a collection of partners with expertise in design, illustration, and geographic information systems. Carl has a B.Sc. in Forestry and an M.Sc. in Computer Science (both from the University of Washington) and has programmed applications for Geographic Information Systems, the web, and mobile devices for the past 10 years.
